Foundation Programme (pre-degree) English
Qualifications Required/Desired:
- Bachelor’s degree with Post graduate teaching qualification essential (e.g. PGCE/CELTA/DELTA). Master’s degree desirable.
- A minimum of 3 years English teaching experience at CEFR B1/B2 level.
- Experience of teaching high school/young adults desirable.
- Experience of teaching in a student centred learning environment e.g. task based/project based/problem based learning.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the teaching and learning situations in assigned programmes and courses.
- Design and produce teaching materials and participate in on-going curriculum development in collaboration with team members
- Adapt and develop resources appropriate to the programmes
- Set and mark student assignments, test papers, and internal examination papers
- Develop theoretical and practical learning situations appropriate to curriculum documentation
- Undertake learning support, mentoring and coaching of students
