Plumbing
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To teach and train Building services subjects and disciplines within the prescribed course of study at BP to
apprenticeship diploma level students in line with the vision and mission of Bahrain Polytechnic. candidates must
have in‐depth knowledge of the specialized trade technical details. They should be able to demonstrate practical
experience in the specialized area for example ability to diagnose, repair or assemble things related to the trade or
occupation. Also familiar with assessment methods and maintain the standards of the college.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Teaching/Training
- Develop and deliver the training programs in Building services systems and subsystems, including plumbing, gas pipe fitting and thermal processing and welding, Installation techniques, and repair.
- Design and produce teaching materials and participate in on-going curriculum development in collaboration with
team members - Set and mark student assessments (assignments, test papers, internal examination papers)
- Develop theoretical and practical learning situations appropriate to curriculum documentation
- Provide technical assistance to technicians and other technical professionals on diagnosing and repairing water systems.
- Adapt and develop resources appropriate to the programmes
- Ensure that all assessments meet the quality assurance requirements set out in Faculty policies and guidelines
and that assessment methodology is clearly communicated to students - Implement student evaluation of programmes
- Undertake structured weekly mentoring with assigned students
- Develop recommendations for programme review based on experience and expertise
- Actively support and contribute to the objectives, direction and operation of the faculty and the Polytechnic
- Administration
- Ensure student and personal records are completed accurately and forwarded to Administration.
- Ensure all relevant policies, practices and procedures of the Polytechnic and Faculty are followed.

Automotive Body Repair and Paints
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To teach and train Automotive (Body Repair and paint stream) and Engineering subjects and disciplines within the prescribed course of study at BP to apprenticeship diploma level students in line with the vision and mission of Bahrain Polytechnic. They must have in‐depth knowledge of the specialized trade technical details. They should be able to demonstrate practical experience in the specialized area for example ability to diagnose, repair or assemble things related to the trade or occupation. Also familiar with assessment methods and maintain the standards of the college.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Teaching/Training
- Develop and deliver the training programs in automotive systems (Body Repair and Paint stream) and preferably subsystems, including engines, transmissions, suspension, and steering systems.
- Design and produce teaching materials and participate in on-going curriculum development in collaboration with team members

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Lifelong Learning Program Manager plays a crucial role in the successful delivery of top-up programs within the school. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of these programs, ensuring their smooth operation, academic quality, and alignment with Bahrain Polytechnic’s strategic objectives.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure responsible faculties follow established criteria to accept lifelong learning programs including top-up accepted students.
- Follow up with responsible faculties to complete credit recognition procedures for lifelong learning programs including top-up students.
- Remind responsible faculties to submit lifelong learning programs timetables on time to Registry.
- Oversee the selection and recruitment of qualified academic staff for lifelong learning programs.
- Oversee the monitoring and management of academic staff workloads, ensuring appropriate distribution.
- Conduct quality assurance activities, including classroom observations, for lifelong learning including top-up programs.
- Provide guidance and support to academic staff on program-related issues.
- Support the Head of School in achieving strategic objectives related to lifelong learning programs.
- Collaborate closely with the Lifelong Learning Directorate to identify and target potential candidates for lifelong learning programs who meet Bahrain Polytechnic’s criteria.
- Communicate any changes in admission criteria to the Lifelong Learning Directorate staff.
- Support the Lifelong Learning Directorate staff in organizing orientation days for incoming lifelong learning students.
- Ensure lifelong learning students are aware of the services and facilities available to them at the Polytechnic.
- Ensure timely submission of all academic reports related to student performance from lifelong learning academic staff to relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications Required
- A Postgraduate qualification is essential, Master and Bachelor degree could be considered for experience staff at the right scale.
- A Certificate in Tertiary Teaching and Learning (CTTL) or an equivalent qualification from a recognized higher education provider, demonstrating competencies in applied education, assessment methods, and classroom management. 2 years’ teaching experience is essential.
- 2+ years of progressive experience in designing, developing, and delivering professional development programs.
- Previous management experience in the tertiary education sector is essential
- Teaching experience and a formal teaching qualification is essential
- Relevant industry experience together with teaching experience is ideal
- Excellent time management, organisational and communication skills
- The ability to facilitate small and large group learning and interdisciplinary delivery
- Experience of working effectively in a dynamic, cross-cultural environment and working with second language learners
